MindActions ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we use cookies, local storage technologies, and privacy-first analytics across our public marketing website (mindactions.app), Web Application (app.mindactions.app), and native Android mobile application.
1. Marketing Website Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
MindActions uses Cloudflare Web Analytics on our public marketing website (mindactions.app) to monitor aggregate site traffic (such as total page views, country-level visitor counts, and referral sources).
Zero Tracking Cookies: Cloudflare Web Analytics is a privacy-first tool that does not set cookies, does not use persistent local storage, and does not perform cross-site user tracking.
No Personal Data Collection: It does not collect personally identifiable information (PII) or IP addresses. All traffic data is processed strictly in non-identifiable aggregate form.
No Cookie Banners Required: Because no tracking or advertising cookies are deployed on our marketing website, we do not display intrusive cookie consent banners.
Not Embedded in Applications: Cloudflare Web Analytics runs strictly on the public marketing site and is NOT embedded inside our Web Application or Android Application.
2. Web Application & Mobile App Storage Breakdown
Neither our Web Application nor our native Android Application uses third-party advertising cookies, behavioral tracking scripts, or cross-site data brokers. We use essential local storage technologies solely to deliver core platform functionality:
A. Web Application (app.mindactions.app)
Local Session Storage & JSON Web Tokens (JWTs): We store stateless JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) in your browser’s local session storage strictly to authenticate your identity, secure API endpoints, and maintain your logged-in session. These tokens are essential for application security.
B. Native Android Application
Native mobile applications do not drop standard browser HTTP cookies. Instead, the Android app utilizes secure, built-in device storage frameworks solely for operational performance:
Android SharedPreferences: Stores your client-side display preferences (such as light vs. dark mode and Neumorphic JSON color schemes) and manages offline tracking logs (MissedActionsCache) to queue missed habit notifications.
Local Device Cache Directory: Stores base64-decoded temporary WAV audio files (mindaction_audio_{id}.wav) locally on your device to enable smooth offline audio playback without triggering redundant API calls.
Ad Interaction Counters: Stores basic local numeric counters (adsWatchedCount) locally on free-tier devices to verify if rewarded video ad requirements have been satisfied.
3. Managing Your Storage Preferences
Because all local storage mechanisms used by MindActions are strictly necessary to deliver application features, maintaining account sessions, and saving local theme choices, disabling local storage will prevent the Web App and Mobile App from functioning properly.
Browser Settings: You can clear local storage or JWT session data at any time via your browser’s developer settings or clearing website data for app.mindactions.app. Doing so will log you out of your account.
Mobile App Storage: You can clear cached WAV audio files or app preferences at any time through your Android device settings under Settings → Apps → MindActions → Storage → Clear Cache.
